Context before action
Keep the request, property history, vendor fit and conversation connected.
I’m building DoorSpan to connect the work behind a rental portfolio—from a resident’s request to an operator’s decision and the follow-through.
Founder-led product development · Synthetic examples only
A resident’s request becomes a piece of work with context, ownership and a next step.
Then coordinate the next step and keep the record connected.
01 / Why this product
I am building DoorSpan for operators with 1–50 rental units, starting with problems I encounter in my own rental business. A repair might take an hour or three weeks. Some tenants pay without prompting; others need follow-up. Bills, supplies and incomplete receipts create work that a dashboard alone cannot finish.
I start by mapping who needs to do what next, what information may be missing, and what confirms completion. That becomes requirements, a working experience and tests. Per-tenant follow-up, receipt capture and completion-driven workflows are product requirements, not a claim that every capability is already available.
02 / Product decisions
These principles guide the product I’m developing.
Keep the request, property history, vendor fit and conversation connected.
Make the basis for a recommendation visible, instead of hiding it behind a score.
Support a decision with a draft or recommendation. Keep consequential actions with a person.
03 / One connected system
The developing workspace for portfolio decisions, maintenance, money and follow-through.

The demos are separate from production readiness. Security and real-data validation remain in progress; DoorSpan is not open for business-data use.
